Special Care is Needed: Never at any time should you lose sight of your luggage or leave it unattended in the passenger terminal. Never add to your luggage any object of unknown origin, whether found lying about or given to you. Prepare your identification documents before Check-In (passport for flights outside the European Union) and keep them with your Boarding Pass in a place where they can be reached easily since you will be called on to show them again to authorities. After Check-In, make your way to the Boarding Area. Present your Boarding Pass to the Security Personnel to enter this restricted area. Recall that you will have to pass through a metal detector; therefore, it is best that you remove all metal objects in your possession to speed up your moving along to the Boarding Area. Pay close attention to all announcements over the loud speakers and consult the television monitors located throughout the passenger terminal. Respect the gate personnel’s instructions as to the appropriate time to do the Check-In or to board the aircraft. Finally, always keep a kind and pleasant attitude. Relax with some last-minute purchases at any of the several shops at your disposal.
Procedures for When You Disembark:
Whenever you disembark from a non-Schengen Area flight you must go through passport control. Keep your identification documents with you close at hand.
Consult the television monitors to find out which Baggage Claim carrousel is designated for your flight. Should you need to make a claim for damaged luggage, go to the counter of an airline company operating your flight. After picking up your luggage, proceed to the Customs Area. If you have anything to declare, go through the Red Line, if not, go through the Green Line. Finally, you may walk out into the Arrivals Hall.
